I love DeviantArt, Monster High, and, generally speaking, comments on my work, but I swear, I'm going to start keeping a list of people who ask me questions and respond with something that in no way shape or form means 'thank you' and then never answer them again.

Seriously, I've been getting an increasing number of questions like:

"Which version of that doll is that?"

"How did you get her hair to look like that?"

"Where did you find her?"

I respond promptly with something along the lines of:

"It's X version (possibly with y modifications if I've changed makeup or some such that would make said doll less recognizable)"

"I rerooted her using (hair colour, type, and seller - usually Restoredoll). Took bloody forever."

"(Store, City, State)"

The response I get?

"K"

That's it? "K"? I've spelled out at least three full words - bare minimum - and you not only can't be bothered to say "thank you" or even "thanks", but you're too lazy to type out "okay"? "Okay" is not a synonym for "thank you." It's not. It is not a polite response to someone who has answered a question for you and just plain "k" is even worse - especially since these people also never bother to comment on the actual photography or even the doll in question!

I would seriously rather not get a comment than get a question from someone that rude. All this behavior does is make people disinclined to answer questions which isn't fair to all of the very lovely people out there who still have manners, who comment on the piece as well as asking their questions, and can manage at the very least a "k thnx".

Chat speak is annoying, but that second half is really important.
